Authentic Puttanesca Sauce:

Authentic Puttanesca Sauce is a new recipe for me. I love visiting my favorite Farmer’s Market  on the weekend to grab the Freshest Ingredients to try new recipes. Walking through aisles and aisles of vendors who offer veggies, fruits that were on the vine yesterday just excites me. I’m a foodie, I love looking at fresh ingredients and dreaming of how I can combine them to make a wonderful new item. This recipe is a wonderful new idea inspired the freshest of ingredients. Enjoy! Authentic Puttanesca Sauce

  • 1. Warm olive oil to medium high heat in a Large Sauce Pot.
  • 2. Add Chopped onions. Saute until translucent
  • 3. - Add Garlic and Red Pepper and Anchovy. Saute for 1 minute or until the anchovy has melted.
  • 4. Add the tomato paste, the olives and the capers. Saute until cohesive
  • 5. Add the wine, stir to combine. Once mixture is at a bubbling simmer, add the tomatoes and the herbs.
  • 6. Reduce heat to low and cover. Let simmer for 20-30 minutes
    *Note:This sauce uses highly flavorful ingredients, thus a short simmering time brings a wonderful Puttanesca Sauce. Be choosey with your ingredients to bring out the maximum flavor for your short simmer time.
